TVET Graduation Ceremony 2022: Where the UPSKILLIST Story Began
On 16 July 2022, our Principal Tc. Jasper Kho Kia Ping graduated as a Vocational Training Officer (VTO) at the Technical & Vocational Education Training (TVET) Graduation Ceremony 2022, held at Dewan Sultan Iskandar, UTM Johor Bahru. That qualification was the foundation for what followed. Having seen technicians recognised with government skills certificates, Jasper set out to build the same pathway for Sarawak: a training centre where CCTV, alarm, door-access and electrical technicians could turn years of hands-on experience into a recognised Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM). UPSKILLIST SDN. BHD. was incorporated in 2023, became a JPK accredited centre (PD6155), and enrolled its first ADi (SLDN) apprentices in Kuching. "Dare to dream, achieve your goals" was the theme of that ceremony. It is still ours. 【中文】2022 年 7 月 16 日，院长 Tc.
